India's star all-rounder Hardik Pandya failed to make his mark in the first T20 International played against Sri Lanka at the Pallekele International Stadium on Saturday (July 27). Pandya bowled 4 overs and conceded 41 runs without taking any wicket.

While batting, he faced 10 balls and scored only 9 runs and was bowled by Mathisha Pathirana. With this, he made a special record. With this short innings, Pandya completed his 1500 runs in T20 International and became the eighth player from India to reach this figure.

Before Pandya, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, KL Rahul, Shikhar Dhawan, MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina had done this feat.

Apart from this, he has become the first Indian player to score more than 1500 runs and take 50 or more wickets in T20 International. Pandya has taken 84 wickets in 90 innings of 101 matches in this format.
