India vs Sri Lanka: Indian Team Opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal played a stormy innings of 30 runs in 15 balls in the second T20 International played at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on Sunday (28 July), in which he hit three fours and two sixes. Along with this, he made many special records in his name.
Yashasvi has reached the first position in terms of playing the most innings of 30 or more runs after 21 innings in T-20 International. This is his tenth fifty plus score. In this list, he broke the record of Suresh Raina, Yuvraj Singh, Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav. These four legends had scored 9 or more 30 plus scores in the first 21 innings.
During this innings, Yashasvi also completed 1000 international runs in 2024. 22-year-old Yashasvi has reached the joint third position in terms of scoring 1000 or more runs in a year for India at the youngest age. He equaled Dinesh Karthik (2007) and Virat Kohli (2010).
It is worth noting that in this match, the Indian team defeated Sri Lanka by 7 wickets according to the Duckworth Lewis rule and took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
