What was expected finally happened, Team India defeated Sri Lanka 3-0 in a one-sided fashion in the T20 series. The team's new head coach Gautam Gambhir looked very happy with this victory. Gambhir especially congratulated the team after the victory in the third T20. But after this the head coach did something that perhaps very few fans would have expected. He asked Hardik Pandya to say something about this victory from the dressing room. After which this all-rounder was seen praising Team India's new T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav.

Hardik's big statement on Suryakumar Yadav

Hardik Pandya first congratulated all the players on the team's victory in the third T20.

He said that batting was difficult in the first innings in Pallekele and when we were in trouble, Shubman Gill and Riyan Parag batted brilliantly and took the team to a score where we could fight. Hardik said that the lower order batsmen also contributed well. Washington Sundar and Ravi Bishnoi batted brilliantly. After this, he saluted Suryakumar Yadav's captaincy and his ability to rotate bowlers. Hardik said that such victories take teams to a higher level. Hardik wished Team India players good luck for performing well in the ODI series. He said that finish the job there too.

Hardik-Surya will return to India

After the T20 series, four players including Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya are going to return to India because they have not been given a chance in the ODI series.

However, before returning to India, Gautam Gambhir asked these players to be ready for the Bangladesh series. Gambhir said that there is still time for the Bangladesh T20 series to start and you have a lot of holidays but the players should keep working on their fitness and skills. Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya will now be seen playing in the T20 series against Bangladesh which is to be held in October.
