Kavya Maran has released 7 big players like David Malan, Temba Bavuma, Daniel Worrall, Adam Rossington, Ayabulela Gkamane, Sarel Erwee and Brydon Carse from the Sunrisers Eastern Cape team.

Sunrisers Eastern Cape team has retained about 12 players from its squad. This includes the name of captain Aiden Markram. Markram has made the team a champion under his captaincy.
