On Friday, 2nd August, DDCA organized a draft instead of an auction for the selection of players. In this, every team got a chance to select players one by one. When it was Rishabh Pant's turn, Old Delhi-6 included the star wicketkeeper in their team and increased the difficulties for the other teams. Not only Pant, but this team also selected Ishant Sharma, which increased its strength.

At the same time, young fast bowler Harshit Rana, who made his mark through IPL, was selected by North Delhi Strikers and all-rounder Ayush Badoni was selected by South Delhi Superstars.

DDCA chairman Rohan Jaitley said that Pant is going to take part in the first season of this tournament.

Recently, BCCI has also asked the players to participate in domestic cricket. Although this is not a domestic tournament of BCCI, it is a BCCI-recognized league.
