It is not hidden from anyone how much the Board of Control for Cricket in India spends on its players of Team India. From the highest salary, arrangements for charter planes for foreign tours, rewards worth crores on winning the trophy. BCCI is famous for all this. Along with this, continuous efforts have been made by the BCCI to improve the level of cricket in the country.
One such effort is now going to be completed, which will change the picture of Indian cricket and the facilities of the players will increase manifold. The dream of BCCI Secretary Jay Shah, which started 4 years ago, is going to be fulfilled. This dream is - New National Cricket Academy.BCCI has been running the National Cricket Academy (NCA) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru for the last 24 years, but for a long time there was talk and demand for building a big academy. In 2020, the then BCCI President Sourav Ganguly and Secretary Jai Shah approved it in Bengaluru itself and then in February 2022, both of them together laid its foundation stone.
Since then, the work of the academy was going on very fast. BCCI did not disclose how much it would cost to build the academy, but a report claimed that it would be built at a cost of about Rs 500 crore. Now after about two and a half years, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah has given great news to the cricketers. On Saturday, August 3, Shah posted some pictures of the academy on 'X' and told that the academy is almost ready.
He also told that the academy will be inaugurated soon. It is believed that the academy will be fully opened this month itself. This academy is going to be very big, which will also have many modern facilities.Very excited to announce that the @BCCIs new National Cricket Academy (NCA) is almost complete and will be opening shortly in Bengaluru. The new NCA will feature three world-class playing grounds, 45 practice pitches, indoor cricket pitches, Olympic-size swimming pool and pic.twitter.com/rHQPHxF6Y4

Shah told that the new academy will have three world class cricket grounds and 45 practice pitches. Not only this, apart from practice pitches, indoor practice facilities will also be present here. There will also be an Olympic size swimming pool here, in which Indian cricketers will be able to keep themselves fresh. Along with this, there will be modern training and sports science facilities, where injury management of players will be done.
He said that this will help the current and future cricketers of the country to improve themselves. Obviously, on one hand, Indian cricketers and fans will be happy because this will play an important role in improving the future of the cricketers of the country, while on the other hand, Pakistan Cricket Board and its fans, who are always worried about the progress of Indian cricket, will be jealous.
