Saqlain Mushtaq reacts to Team India, Champion Trophy 2025: This time Pakistan (Pakistan Cricket Team) is going to host the Champions Trophy 2025.

Saqlain Mushtaq has full faith in ICC

Mushtaq believes that it does not matter whether the Indian team will come to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy or not.

He is confident that the ICC will take the right steps to make the tournament a success.

Cricket Pakistan quoted Saqlain Mushtaq as saying, “It is a simple matter that if India wants to come, they can. If they don't want to come, then it is okay. There is no point in making a fuss about it. This will not make any side good or bad. This is an ICC event and they will look into the matter as they should.”

It is worth noting that Pakistan was also given the hosting rights of Asia Cup 2023. But Team India refused to go to Pakistan to play the tournament.

After this, Sri Lanka was also made the co-host of the tournament. Under the hybrid model, Team India played all its matches in Sri Lanka.

The BCCI has proposed to the ICC to conduct the Champions Trophy 2025 under a hybrid model. If this happens, the Indian team will play all its matches in Sri Lanka or the UAE.

Many Pakistani players have tried to convince Team India

Many former Pakistani players also want Team India to come to their country to participate in the tournament. These include names of cricketers like Shoaib Malik and Shahid Afridi.

But BCCI does not want to show any leniency regarding the security of its players. Apart from this, the board will also need a green signal from the Indian government to send the team to Pakistan, which is impossible to get.
