Rishabh Pant: Indian team's wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant was given a chance in the recently played T20 and ODI series against Sri Lanka. But Pant did not bat well on the Sri Lanka tour.
After which, he will now be expected to perform well in the Test and T20 series against Bangladesh. However, apart from his international cricket, Pant has played some historic innings in domestic cricket. Rishabh Pant played a stormy innings
Team India's wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant has played many brilliant innings in his first class cricket. But Pant played one of the best innings of his career in the Ranji Trophy played in the year 2016.
Playing for Delhi in the match played between Delhi and Mumbai, Pant scored 308 runs in just 326 balls in the first innings.In his triple century, Pant hit 42 fours and 9 sixes. Pant batted at a fast strike rate of 94 in the Test format. However, there was no result in this match and the match ended in a draw.
Rishabh Pant's recent performance
Indian team's star batsman Rishabh Pant was injured in a car accident in the year 2022. After which he made a comeback in cricket from IPL 2024. Rishabh Pant's performance in IPL 2024 was excellent.
Due to which he was included in Team India's squad for the T20 World Cup 2024. Pant played some good innings in the T20 World Cup. While in the T20 series against Sri Lanka, Pant got a chance to play in 2 matches. In which he scored 51 runs. While Pant scored 6 runs in one match of the ODI series.
Rishabh Pant will now return to Test
The Indian team has to play a 2 Test match series with Bangladesh from 19 September. Pant is sure to be selected in the Test series against Bangladesh. Due to which Rishabh Pant will now return to the Test format after 21 months. Pant played his last Test match against Bangladesh in December 2022.
