The venue of Duleep Trophy match had to be changed

Actually, a two-Test series is to be held between India and Bangladesh from September 19. Before this, all the Indian players are on a break because there is no series. In such a situation, how will the match practice be done for the series, this is a big question.

Like before, Team India can also organize a practice camp, but this time BCCI has changed the method and has asked the players playing Test and ODI for Team India to play in the Duleep Trophy, the first tournament of the domestic season. This is the reason why BCCI has had to change the previously decided venue.

Actually, last month BCCI had announced the schedule for the domestic season, in which Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh was made the venue for the 6-match Duleep Trophy tournament. Now BCCI has had to make changes in it and now the first match of this tournament will be played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

The reason for this change is the participation of Team India players in it. Actually, there is no airport in Anantapur, due to which Indian players will have to travel a long distance and considering the Test series, this can be quite tiring. In such a situation, the board has decided to shift the opening match of the tournament to Bengaluru.

Team India will benefit

There are two important advantages of this - first, the players will not have to travel much and they will remain fresh even after playing the match.

Second, if a player gets a minor injury during the Duleep Trophy match, it may take time to come from Anantapur to Bangalore, whereas due to the presence of National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore itself, this situation can be dealt with immediately. The change in venue has also increased the possibility that Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli can be seen playing in the first match. Although BCCI has kept the option of playing or not playing open for both, but players like KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammad Siraj are required to play at least one match in this tournament.
