Pakistan's Test captain has denied the allegations of match fixing against Pakistan team players.

Recently, Pakistan's Test captain Shan Masood has given his reaction on the allegations of match fixing against him after the disappointing performance of the Pakistani team. Pakistan's Test captain says that Shan Masood made it clear that Pakistan players are not involved in match fixing at all. Let us tell you that Pakistan will host Bangladesh for a two-match Test series starting from August 21.

“I can't question anybody's intentions just because you used the word match-fixing. I don't think anybody can question the integrity of the current set-up in Pakistan cricket. That's something I don't agree with at all. Secondly, the World Cup is over now and we need to look ahead. I can guarantee that all our players want to win matches for Pakistan but there are wins and losses and we feel the most pain whenever we lose,” the Pakistan Test captain said.

Let us tell you that Salim Malik was the first Pakistani player to be banned for life due to match fixing. After this, in 2010, Salman Butt, Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Aamir were also banned due to match fixing.

Pakistan played its last Test series against Australia. Pakistan had to face a 3-0 clean sweep at the hands of Australia in that Test series. Currently, Pakistan is at the fifth position in the ICC World Test Championship rankings with two wins and three losses so far. If Pakistan has to make it to the final of the World Test Championship, then the two-match Test series against Bangladesh is going to be very important for them.
