Team India: Team India has recently finished its Sri Lanka tour. Team India's performance on the Sri Lanka tour was quite mixed. Team India won 3-0 in the T20 series held on the Sri Lanka tour but in the ODI series, Team India had to face defeat by 0-2. Due to which it is now believed that the selection committee will not give Rohit-Kohli a chance in ODI cricket after retiring from T20 cricket.
At the same time, reports are also coming out in the media that Team India can give the captaincy of the team to Rishabh Pant for the ODI series against England.

After the Sri Lanka tour, Team India has to play its next ODI series against England on its home ground before the Champions Trophy 2025 to be held in the month of February. According to the reports related to this ODI series, the selection committee can announce the same team squad for England and Champions Trophy 2025.
After making Team India the champion in the T20 World Cup, both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have announced their retirement from international T20 cricket. Virat Kohli's bat has been completely silent in the ODI series against Sri Lanka. In such a situation, the selection committee wants to give a chance to only young players in Team India's squad for the Champions Trophy 2025.
Due to which it is believed that Rohit-Kohli will not get a chance in the ODI series against England.If this happens, then the selection committee will not want to put the responsibility of captaincy of Team India on the shoulders of Shubman Gill so soon. Due to which it is believed that Rishabh Pant can get the responsibility of captaining India in the England ODI series. If this happens, then this will be the first time when Rishabh Pant will be seen taking the responsibility of captaincy for Team India in ODI International.
