After retirement, Ian Bell has worked with many teams as a coach

Ian Bell announced his retirement in the year 2020. After retiring from his cricketing career, Ian Bell has served as the batting coach of the England Under-19 and England Lions teams, assistant coach of the Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash, consultant batting coach for Derbyshire and assistant coach of the New Zealand men's team ahead of the 2023 ODI World Cup.

Most recently, he served as an assistant coach at the Melbourne Renegades in the BBL and Ian Bell's Birmingham Phoenix team in The Hundred.
