Before the mega auction of IPL 2025, BCCI secretary Jay Shah has given many big hints. According to the report of Cricbuzz, while talking to the media in Mumbai, he has expressed hope of increased entertainment from the next season of IPL. Jay Shah revealed that 84 matches can be played during the entire tournament. Till now a total of 74 matches including the final were played in the entire season. In this, 10 teams used to play 70 league matches first. After this, 3 playoffs and one final match were played.
