Delhi: Pakistan cricket team's leading fast bowler Naseem Shah has openly expressed his feelings on the pain caused by the defeat against India in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Pakistan suffered a humiliating defeat against Team India in New York in the group stage of the tournament. In this match played at Nassau County Stadium, his team failed to chase the target of 120 runs. After this, he also faced defeat against America, resulting in his exit from the tournament.

In such a situation, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) President Mohsin Naqvi had said that after the way the team played against America and India, there is a need for major changes in the cricket structure.

On the other hand, now Naseem, while talking to Cricbuzz before the Test series against Bangladesh, said that there came a time when he felt that he could not tolerate any more criticism.

What did Naseem Shah say?

The fast bowler said in an interview to Cricbuzz, “Although the fans or the media did not target me, no one can be satisfied after the team loses and say that I did my job.

I want to win. I get disappointed even when I lose while playing at home or in the street. I play to win and it was very sad for me to be out of the World Cup.”

He further said, “People come up to me in restaurants and ask why we lost. Even my relatives have asked me about this. I understand that their emotions are inspired by social media and as a player I can only listen to them.”
