Who is Mohammad Aman?

Mohammad Aman hails from Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Earlier, Aman was a part of the Under-19 team in the Asia Cup held in November 2023. Mohammad Aman is an excellent batsman. 18-year-old Aman is also a fast bowler. Let us tell you, his mother Sayba left this world in 2020 during the Kovid-19 pandemic. At the same time, his father Mehtab was a truck driver, who passed away in the year 2022. That is, Aman became an orphan at the age of 16. After this, he took the responsibility of his three younger siblings and also continued his game. Now he has got the reward for this hard work.

Mohammad Aman while talking to Indian Express said, 'The day I lost my father, it felt as if I suddenly grew up in a day. I had to take care of my younger sister and two brothers, I was the head of the family after my father left. After this incident, I told myself that I should quit cricket. I also searched for a job in Saharanpur to run the family but could not find any work. In such a situation, some people came forward to help me so that I could continue my game.'

Mohammad Aman also told that there was a time when he had to sleep on an empty stomach. Talking about sleeping on an empty stomach, Aman said, 'There is nothing bigger than hunger. I never waste my food now because I know how difficult it is to earn it. When there were UPCA age group trials in Kanpur, I used to travel in the general compartment of the train, sitting near the toilet. Now, when I travel by flight and stay in a good hotel, I just thank God.'

Aman has so far played in the Under-14 category in 2016-17, Under-14 in 2017-18, Under-16 in 2018-19, Under-16 in 2019-20 and Under-19 cricket category in 2022-23. Last season, Aman scored 363 runs in eight innings for the UP Under-19 team in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy, which included four half-centuries. He was also the second-highest run-scorer in the Under-19 Challenger Series, scoring 294 runs at an average of 98. Apart from this, he was made the captain of the Uttar Pradesh Under-19 team in 2023.
