Asian Hockey Champions Trophy 2024: The Indian men's hockey team's excellent performance continues in the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy. In this episode, India defeated Pakistan 2-1 on Saturday and registered its fifth consecutive victory in this Hockey Asian Champions Trophy.
This match was played at the Moki Hockey Training Base in Hulunbur. Captain Harmanpreet Singh scored both the goals for India. Ahmed Nadeem scored the goal for Pakistan.
Let us tell you that the Indian team has won all its 5 matches played in this Asian Champions Trophy. Whereas Pakistan has won 2 out of 5 matches and is in second place after India in the points table. Both the teams have already qualified for the semi-finals.
The first goal of the match was scored by Pakistan in the eighth minute.
Nadeem Ahmed scored a field goal to give his team a 1-0 lead, but after this India did not give any chance. Captain Harmanpreet Singh converted a penalty corner into a goal in no time. The score was tied at 1-1 after the first quarter, but at the start of the second quarter India got another penalty corner, which was also put into the net by 'Captain Sahab'.
