Ramiz Raja is likely to face action by the Pakistan Cricket Board for insulting Test captain Shan Masood after the team’s series win over England. Pakistan defeated the Ben Stokes-led team by 9 wickets in the third Test in Rawalpindi and clinched the series 2-1.

Masood was under pressure, having lost six consecutive Tests as a skipper before the players finally responded to his on-field calls. Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, and Naseem Shah were dropped for the second and third games, and this proved to be a masterstroke.

The home team prepared rank-turners and gave a chance to quality spinners, which troubled the England batters as they failed to survive.

After a memorable win, Shan Masood was interviewed by Ramiz Raja, who asked Masood an inappropriate question.

“How did you manage to lose six consecutive Tests?” Ramiz asked. Masood didn’t like the question, but he didn’t hit back at the former player. “Ramiz bhai, we needed this win for our country. I am happy that Pakistan won the series,” Masood said.

Masood replaced Babar Azam as Test captain. The Men in Green were defeated 0-3 by Australia, and then they lost 0-2 against Bangladesh at home.

Meanwhile, the PCB is miffed with Ramiz’s behavior and is planning to take action against him. As reported by Cricket Pakistan, Ramiz will be banned from the panel of commentators for the upcoming white-ball series against Australia.

Pakistan’s series win over England has given them a winning formula, and now they can rely on spin tracks and spinners. Earlier, they played on flat tracks in home matches and were beaten by England and Australia. They also didn’t use the spin strategy against New Zealand.
