Rohit Sharma will lead the team India in ninth edition of the T20 World Cup.

New Delhi: The ninth edition of T2o World Cup 2024 is set to start from June 2nd and the first match will be played between host USA and Canada. Team India will play their opener clash on June 5 against Ireland. The marquee event will start just after a week of Indian Premier League 2024’s final which will be played on May 26 at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India have not yet announced the squad for the marquee event and there are reports that the cricket board will announce the squad during the mid-season of IPL.

As per Sportstak BCCI will announce T20 World Cup 2024 squad at the end of this month (April) or May 1.

Apart from the date reports are claiming that Virat Kohli will also feature in the marquee event as there were speculations for his selection in the squad consedaring his strike rate in the ongoing IPL.
