Delhi: Former New Zealand captain and veteran fast bowler Tim Southee has announced his retirement from international cricket. The upcoming Test series against England will be the last series of his career. Saudi is the most successful bowler of New Zealand, who has taken the most wickets at the international level.

The right-arm fast bowler's last Test match will be played against England in Hamilton, which is also his home ground.

However, Saudi has made it clear that if the New Zealand team reaches the final of the ICC World Test Championship in June next year, then he will be available for this historic match.

During the announcement of his retirement, Saudi said, “It was my dream to represent New Zealand. Playing for the Blackcaps for 18 years has been the greatest honor and privilege of my life, but now it feels like the time is right to retire from the game. This game has given me a lot.”
