Afghanistan has announced its team for the white ball series to be played on the Zimbabwe tour.

On this tour, Afghanistan team will play three T-20 and as many ODI matches, which will be played in Harare on 11-21 December. After this, a two-Test series will be played for which Afghanistan has not yet announced the team.

Promising left-handed top-order batsman Zubaid Akbari has been included in the T-20 team for the first time. Akbari produced some stellar performances in the domestic season and also contributed significantly to Afghanistan's victory in the Emerging Asia Cup.

Apart from this, Darvesh Rasooli has also returned to the team. He also led the Afghan Abdalian lineup to their first title at the ACC Men's T20 Emerging Asia Cup in Oman earlier this year.

However, Afghanistan will miss Ibrahim Zadran, who is still recovering from recent ankle surgery in England.

Along with this, frontline spinner Mujeeb-ur-Rahman has fully recovered from the sprain in his right foot and has been included in the squad for both T20 and ODI series during the Zimbabwe tour.
