Lucknow: The 25th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 was played between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Royal Challengers Bangalore. In this match, MI registered its second win of the season and won the match by 7 wickets. In this match, Mumbai captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and decided to bowl first and after that RCB scored 196 runs at the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. This season is now getting worse for Bengaluru as they have faced defeat in 5 out of the first 6 matches and have won only one match.
In this match, for RCB, captain Faf du Plessis played an inning of 61 runs facing 40 balls. Apart from him, star batsman Rajat Patidar also helped his team reach a good score by playing a half-century innings. He scored 50 runs on 26 balls. Meanwhile, experienced wicketkeeper batsman Dinesh Karthik also scored 53 runs after scoring a half century after 27 innings in IPL.

For Mumbai, fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah bowled brilliantly and gave away 21 runs in 4 overs, sending 5 batsmen to the pavilion. With this, he has also become the bowler to take 5 wicket hauls twice in the history of IPL. Apart from this, he has become the first bowler to take 5 wickets against RCB.
Mumbai team, which came out to chase the target, made a flying start and registered a spectacular victory. There was a century partnership between wicketkeeper batsman Ishan Kishan and opening batsman Rohit Sharma and RCB was eliminated from the match. In this match, Ishaan faced 34 balls and played an innings of 69 runs with the help of 7 fours and 5 sixes. Apart from him, Rohit also scored 38 runs. So Suryakumar Yadav also scored 52 runs on 19 balls in this match after being out for zero in the first match.
Chasing 197 runs, MI achieved it in 15.3 overs by losing 3 wickets. Captain Hardik Pandya played an unbeaten inning of 21 runs in 6 balls and led his team to victory by hitting a six.
