IND vs AUS: Rohit Sharma-led Team India have released traveling reserves Yash Dayal, Mukesh Kumar, and Navdeep Saini, allowing them to represent their respective state teams in the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25, which is set to begin on December 21.

The 2025 Vijay Hazare Trophy will take place at 18 venues across eight host cities.

According to a report by TOI, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) star, Yash Dayal has already returned home. The left-arm pacer, who replaced Khaleel Ahmed in the traveling reserves, did not participate in any India A matches.

The 27-year-old will represent Uttar Pradesh in the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy.

The 31-year-old Mukesh Kumar will play for Bengal, while Navdeep Saini will represent Delhi.

Mukesh Kumar delivered a strong performance in the two matches against Australia A, claiming 11 wickets, including a six-wicket haul in the first game. He also bowled effectively in the intra-squad match. On the other hand, Navdeep Saini struggled in his sole appearance for India A, failing to take any wickets in Mackay.

Devdutt Padikkal was earlier released from India's Test squad after being included as a backup for Shubman Gill, who missed the first Test due to a thumb injury.

Padikkal, who batted at No. 3 in the Perth Test, was dismissed for a duck in the first innings and later scored 25 runs. The left-handed batter is now set to play for Karnataka in their opening match of the season against Mumbai.

At the time of writing this article, Australia were batting at 139/3 with Travis Head and Steve Smith at the crease.
