Head-Smith scored a century

The spectators who came in such large numbers also got to see a fun game. Travis Head, who scored 140 runs in 141 balls in the Adelaide Test, once again took the Indian bowlers to task.

He also scored a century in Gabba. He played an innings of 152 runs in 160 balls with the help of 18 fours. At the same time, the bat of veteran batsman Steve Smith, who had flopped so far in this series, also rained in Gabba. Smith scored a century of 101 runs in 190 balls and hit 12 fours.

Australia's score crosses 400
