Zimbabwe could not reach the target of 278 runs

Afghanistan had given a target of 278 runs to Zimbabwe and in reply, the host team was limited to only 205 runs.

Rahmat-Ismat changed the fate of Afghanistan

Even though Rashid Khan was the player of the match of this match, the foundation of Afghanistan's victory was laid by Rahmat Shah and Ismat Alam in the second innings. Both these batsmen scored amazing centuries in the second innings. Rahmat played an inning of 139 runs in 275 balls, while Ismat, coming at number 8, scored 101 runs. On the basis of these two innings, Afghanistan scored 363 runs in the second innings and Zimbabwe did not get the benefit of lead in the first innings and ultimately had to face defeat.

With this, Afghanistan captured the Test series 1-0 and Rahmat Shah, who scored the highest 392 runs in the series, became the Player of the Series.
