New Zealand star all-rounder Amelia Kerr has won the ICC Women’s Cricketer of the Year 2024 for her performances across formats. She played a key role in the White Ferns’ triumph in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 in the UAE.

Amelia, Laura Wolvaardt, Chamari Aththapathu, and Annabel Sutherland were nominated for the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy. Kerr was also selected in the ICC Women’s ODI Team of the Year 2024.

“Kerr was oustanding across formats and contributed with the bat and the ball.

Her brilliance was behind New Zealand’s success and she once again showed her class as a leg-spinner, often taking wickets for the White Ferns,” the ICC said in a statement.

“Her all-round display helped her in winning the Player of the Match in the final of the T20 World Cup,” the statement continued.

Kerr was also the Player of the Tournament in the 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup. She took 15 wickets in the global tournament. Kerr is the first New Zealand player to win the award since its inception in 2017. She scored 651 runs and picked up 43 wickets in 2024.
