Mumbai Indians bowlers didn’t allow the Delhi Capitals batters to score freely in the middle overs of their first match in the ongoing Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025. However, the Capitals managed to seal a win in the end. Mumbai were ordinary with the bat and managed just 164 runs in 19.1 overs. They failed to defend their total as DC sealed a two-wicket win on the last ball of the match. Their victory will give them confidence.

Sarah Bryce (21) and Niki Prasad (35) were magnificent with the bat. Hayley Matthews (2 wickets) and Amelia Kerr (2 wickets) delivered good performances for the 2023 WPL champions.
