Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan has won the toss and elected to bowl first against New Zealand in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. “We are bowling first as the dew has impacted the last couple of games. We will be under pressure because of being defending champions but we will take learning from the tri-series we recently played. It is good to be playing in Pakistan,” Mohammad Rizwan said.
New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner would have bowled first as well, had he won the toss. “Batting is easy in the second innings because of the dew, but we will have to bat well as a team.
We are looking forward to the tournament, and it is good to lead New Zealand for the first time in the ICC tournament,” he said.Pakistan: 1 fakhar zaman, 2 babar azam, 3 saud shakeel, 4 mohammad rizwan (Capt & WK), 5 salman ali agha, 6 tayyab tahir, 7 khushdil shah, 8 shaheen shah Afridi, 9 naseem shah, 10 haaris raks, Ahmed.
