West Indies veteran associated with KKR before IPL 2025, has won West Indies in his coaching T20 World Cup

The current champion Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) has included former West Indies fast bowler Otis Gibson for IPL 2025 as an assistant coach.

The franchise gave this information on Saturday (March 8).

Prior to 55 -year -old Gibson, Chandrakant Pandit (head coach), Dwayne Bravo (Mentor), Bharat Arun (bowling coach) and Carl Crow (Spin Bowling Coaching) are part of KKR's coaching staff.

Gibson did a great job as a coach for the West Indies after his four -year sports career. At the international level, he was England's bowling coach in two different term.

He has also worked as a head coach for the West Indies (2010–14) and South Africa (2017-19) and has given his first T20 World Cup title to West Indies in 2012. Apart from this, he has also worked with Bangladesh and Yorkshire County team for some time.

The coaching staff of the defending champion KKR has changed a lot after the mentor Gautam Gambhir left the team last season. Because Abhishek Nair and Ryan Ten Doshet also joined the Indian team with Gambhir.

KKR will play the first match in the upcoming IPL season on 22 March at the Eden Gardens against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
