Yusuf's daughter's health deteriorated

Mohammad Yusuf was recently appointed as the batting coach of the Pakistan team.

This decision was taken after the team's poor performance in the Champions Trophy. However, due to his daughter's illness, Joseph withdrew his name from this tour. PCB said that no other coach will be selected instead of Yusuf and the team will leave for New Zealand on Wednesday.

Touring schedule

Pakistan team will play five T20 Internationals and three ODIs against New Zealand. Apart from Joseph, there has been no change in the coaching staff of the team. Aqib Javed has been retained the team's interim head coach, while the role of Azhar Mahmood will continue as an assistant coach.

Search for head coach

PCB has said that after the tour of New Zealand, advertisement will be issued for the appointment of permanent head coach for the team. Earlier, Aqib Javed has been given the command of the team as an interim head coach. Mohammad Yusuf works as a senior coach at PCB's National Cricket Academy. He is known for playing an important role in Pakistan cricket. However, this time he does not have to go with the team due to his daughter's health.

New Zealand team announced

The New Zealand cricket team has rested its regular players for the five -match T20 series against Pakistan due to the Indian Premier League coming close.

Due to this, some new faces have been given a chance in the team. Michael Bracewell, who performed well in the Champions Trophy, has been made the captain of the team. Regular captain Mitchell Santner has been rested. Apart from Bracewell, 6 more players playing in the Champions Trophy have also been included in the team. However, Devan Conve, Lockie Ferguson, Glenn Philips, Rachin Rabindra and limited overs captain Santner are not available for this series due to IPL contracts.
