The case of Sunrisers Hyderabad and Hyderabad Cricket Association has now reached BCCI. Sunrisers Hyderabad have requested BCCI for help. The IPL 2016 champion team has written to the board in a mail to Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) President Jagan Mohan Rao that they are blackmailing their home ground, Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in exchange for matches tickets.
According to the report of Cricbuzz, SRH owner Sun Group has written the matter to the Apex Council members of HCA in writing.Sunrisers Hyderabad said, 'HCA President Jagan Mohan Rao is resorting to threats, force and blackmail. Even before the IPL started, Rao threatened our staff, after which our team wrote a mail to him and complained about it.
The whole matter is about tickets. Rao had asked for 3900 tickets (10%of the total tickets) for every home match of SRH.
The team accepted this demand to avoid the controversy, but later Rao demanded to replace 20 tickets of F-12 A section from another box. When SRH denied this, the HCA President locked the corporate box (F3) allotted for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) owner Sanjeev Goenka on March 27.SRH wrote in his mail, 'HCA President locked the F3 box a few hours before the match, while he knew that it was for the owner of LSG. This was just an attempt to blackmail us and pressurize 20 more complex tickets.
The team has demanded a meeting from HCA to discuss the behavior of President Rao.
SRH made it clear that he had no complaint with other HCA officials. He wrote, 'We want Apex Council to meet us personally, so that we can show the evidence. Rao's behavior is absolutely wrong, but we want to resolve the matter peacefully. According to reports, Sunrisers Hyderabad has also said to leave this ground. Now it has to be seen what action BCCI and HCA take in this case. SRH won a match this season and this controversy can affect the performance of the team.
