Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Mumbai Indians by 12 runs at the Wankhede Stadium. Chasing 222 runs, the hosts managed 209/9 in 20 overs. Tilak Varma and Hardik Pandya tried their best, but their efforts went in vain.

Tilak Varma was retired out in the previous game of Mumbai Indians against Lucknow Super Giants and the batter gave a befitting reply to the team management by scoring a sensational fifty against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

He scored 56 runs off 28 balls, with the help of 4 fours and 4 sixes.

Apart from him, captain Hardik Pandya posted 42 runs off 15 balls, laced with 4 sixes and 3 fours.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood dismissed the two set batters to play a role in RCB’s win. Krunal Pandya took four wickets for Bengaluru.

Earlier, fifties by Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar took RCB to 221/5 in 20 overs. Jitesh Sharma was brilliant with the bat, scoring 40 off 16, packed with 2 fours and 4 sixes.
