Delhi: Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson blamed the bowlers for his team's defeat against Gujarat Titans. He believed that Rajasthan gave an additional 15-20 runs, which affected the match. Gujarat, batting first, scored a score of 217/7 and covered Rajasthan for 159 runs. Samson (41), Shimron Hetmyer (52) and Ryan Parag (26) were the prominent batsmen of the team. At the same time, Rajasthan bowlers gave 18 additional runs, which included 17 wide balls.
Sanju Samson said, “We gave an additional 15-20 runs.
He played well, but whenever we used to try to take Momentum forward, lose wickets. Heti (Shimron Hetmire) and I was feeling that this goal could be achieved because the wicket was good for batting. But my wicket stopped us.”Samson further said, “We had planned something else, but the bowlers did something else. We have to work on our shortcomings. We want to win matches where we have to chase the goal, because the score defended in every match cannot win.”
Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag did not like Samson's way of accusing the bowlers.
Sehwag said, “Not bowling, batting is the main reason for defeat. One of your top three batsmen has to play a long innings. Samson and Hetmire played well, but they were out. Sameson said that Sameson said that there were 20 runs, but if it was a chesseal, then Rajasthan should have reached 200 runs. They could not reach 200 runs.”In the 23rd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, on Wednesday, Gujarat Titans defeated Rajasthan Royals (GT Vs RR) by 58 runs to win their fourth consecutive consecutive this season.
