In IPL 2024, Lucknow Super Giants took revenge for the defeat suffered by Chennai this season. On its home ground, Lucknow defeated Chennai Super Kings by 8 wickets. KL Rahul scored 82 runs while playing the captaincy innings. Jadeja showed him the way to the pavilion by taking a wonderful catch.

As soon as Rahul completed his half-century, he broke the big record of former CSK captain MS Dhoni. KL Rahul became the first wicketkeeper batsman to score 25 half-centuries in IPL. Earlier this record was in the name of Dhoni. Dhoni has scored 24 half-centuries as a wicketkeeper-batsman. At number three is Lucknow Super Giants’ star batsman Quinton De Kock.
