Mumbai Indians bowlers Trent Boult and Deepak Chahar have bagged two wickets each after bowling two overs each in the power play during the IPL 2025 game against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 23 at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium.

Trent Boult went on to dismiss Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma in the second and fourth over, respectively, while Deepak Chahar bagged the wickets of Ishan Kishan and Nitish Kumar Reddy in the 3rd and fourth over of the game.

They are struggling with 13 runs for 4 inside the powerplay, which will be SRH’s highest wicket loss in the tournament.  With Aniket Sharma and Heinrich Klaasen at the crease, Hyderabad are looking back to come into the game.

By the end of power play, SRH scored 24 runs in the powerplay.

Speaking at the toss, Hardik Pandya said,  Feels good (on the applause). I would like to pass my condolences to the victims of the terrorist attack.”

“We’ll bowl first. Looks like a good track, just one change for us – Vignesh comes in for Ashwani. We need to just execute our plans and take the game as simply as possible, plan properly.”

Meanwhile SRH captain Pat Cummins said, “One change for us – Shami goes out. It is a cause for optimism, we know this surface and ground really well. We’ve played some really good cricket this year. (On the Pahalgam terror attack) It has been heartbreaking for us as well, our thoughts are with the victims and their families.”
