Batting first, Shubman Gill continued a brilliant form and played a brilliant innings of 84 runs and brought Gujarat Titans to 209/4 in 20 overs. However, in the second innings, veteran fast bowler Ishant Sharma was sent to the ground instead of Gill. During this, Rashid Khan of Afghanistan took over the captaincy.
