The Gujarat Titans’ top order batters’ Shubman Gill, Jos Buttler has helped the side to post 209 runs in the IPL 2025 game against Rajasthan Royals on April 28 at Jaipur.

Batting first, Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill opened the innings while Jofra Archer opened the bowling attack.

They went on to score 53 runs in the powerplay, but Sai Sudharsan was dismissed by Theekshana for 39 runs. Jos Buttler joined Shubman Gill at the crease, facing the attacks of the Rajasthan Royals bowlers.

Shubman Gill went on to score his fifty and went on to score 84 runs before being dismissed by Theekshana.

Sundar who came to bat, lost his wicket to Sandeep Sharma for 13 runs. With Rahul Tewatia dismissed for 9 runs by Jofra Archer, Jos Buttler completed his fifty helping the side to post 209 runs in the score board.

Speaking at the toss, Riyan Parag said, “We’ll bowl first. Pretty similar wicket to the one we played against LSG. Should be a good wicket, some low bounce, saw some dew last night so bowling first.”

“Everyone in our team has gone through situations like this and they know how to get out of it.

“We’ve played 35 overs of good cricket in the last three games. That’s how cruel the IPL is. Two changes: Farooqi goes out, Theekshana comes in. Tushar goes out and Yudhvir comes in.”

Meanwhile Shubman Gill said, “Would’ve bowled first as well. But it looks like a good wicket. Some grass on the wicket, always nice to see that. We are looking to take each game as it is, not looking at the past. Important to be ruthless in this format. One change: Karim Janat makes his debut.”
