On Wednesday, April 30, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) made an announcement that the Bangladesh cricket team will tour the country for a five-match T20I series in May as part of the ICC's Future Tour Programme (FTP).

The matches will be played in the cities of Faisalabad and Lahore from May 25 to June 3, with all of them set to begin at 8 PM local time since the summer will be peaking in the Indian subcontinent in the next month or so.

Notably, the Bangladesh tour of Pakistan was originally scheduled to have three ODIs and three T20Is next month, but the PCB and the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), decided to turn it into a five-match T20I series instead.

The change has happened because both the boards want to give the best chance of preparation for the T20 World Cup 2026, which will be played in India and Sri Lanka.
