Indian team captain and veteran batsman Rohit Sharma has achieved many great achievements in his career.

Rohit Sharma recently shared his feelings when he was called 'Raja of Mumbai' in a conversation with senior journalist Vimal Kumar.

He said, “People's love matters a lot. I could not take it lightly. I never thought that something would happen. At the age of 16, I was thinking of making a place in the Ranji team, at that time it was all a distant thing, then it would have been like madness to think.”

Getting an identity like 'Raja of Mumbai' is also special because many legendary cricketers have already come out of Mumbai. In such a situation, getting such status to Rohit shows the success of his career.

Rohit Sharma is currently playing for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2025.

Initially, he did not appear in rhythm in some matches, but after that he made a strong comeback by scoring two consecutive half -centuries against Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad. He was able to score only 12 runs in the last match against Lucknow, but would be expected to perform better in the coming matches.
