The Punjab Kings spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has picked a hat-trick in a four-wicket over during the IPL 2025 game against Chennai Super Kings on April 30.
Despite Sam Curran’s resilient knock, Yuzvendra Chahal clinched the spotlight in the death overs, helping the side restrict CSK to 190 runs.
Batting first, CSK lost both their openers, Shaik Rasheed and Ayush Mhatre, for 11 and 7 respectively to Arshdeep Singh and Marco Jansen.
Sam Curran and Jadeja came to bat after the dismissal of openers, where the latter went on aggressive mode, smashing 04 fours before being dismissed by Harpreet Brar.
By the end of the powerplay, CSK lost three wickets for 48 runs. After the powerplay, Brevis and Sam Curran quickened the innings, crossing the 100-run mark in the 12th over.
After suffering quick dismissals in the powerplay, CSK all-rounder Sam Curran and batter Dewald Brevis revive the side.
However, Dewald Brevis lost his wicket to Azmatullah for 32 runs. His knock included two fours and one six and has been sent on a good length delivery on off-stump. But Sam Curran went on to aggressive mode scoring his 6th IPL fifty.
He went on to score 88 runs in 46 deliveries which included 9 fours and 4 sixes before being dismissed by Marco Jansen. By his dismissal, Chennai lost 5 wickets for 172 runs in the 18th over.
MS Dhoni who came to bat scored 11 runs on four deliveries before being dismissed by Yuzvendra Chahal.
He went on to pick Hattrick wickets of Deepak Hooda, Anshul Kamboj and Noor Ahmad picking four wickets in this over.
Arshdeep Singh picked the wicket of Shivam Dube for 6 has helped the side on restricting the home side crossing 200 run mark.
