Gujarat Titans defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 38 runs to register their seventh win of the 18th season. With 14 points, GT have reached the second spot in the standings. Chasing 225 runs, the visitors were restricted to 186/6 in 20 overs. Hyderabad had a chance when Abhishek Sharma was in the middle, but his dismissal on the 15th over ended their hopes. He scored 74 runs off 41 balls, laced with 6 sixes and 4 fours.

Sunrisers have been eliminated from the playoff race and joined Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals in the unwanted list. For GT, Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna took two wickets each.
