Pat Cummins bowling brilliantly
Before the start of the match, Cummins won the toss and decided to bowl first and his bet was completely successful. His aggressive bowling brought Delhi batsmen under pressure from the beginning. In this match against Delhi, Cummins took 3 wickets for just 12 runs in 3 overs. His fatal bowling broke Delhi's batting back. Cummins sent Karun Nair to the pavilion without opening an account in the first over. After this, Faf du Plessis (3 runs) and Abhishek Porel (8 runs) were also performed. All three catches went to wicketkeeper Ishaan Kishan, who appeared in amazing form in this match.
Delhi's team stumbled badly in the powerplay and soon their score was 5 wickets for 29 runs. At the time of writing the news, Delhi's score was 6 wickets for 90 runs in 15.3 overs, and the crisis was getting deeper.
If we look at the history of IPL, then no captain could take three wickets in the powerplay before. Before Pat Cummins, captains like Zaheer Khan, Sean Pollock and Akshar Patel took two wickets each in the powerplay. But, Cummins has created history by breaking this record.
