Mumbai Indians’ travel plans for their May 11 IPL 2025 match against Punjab Kings in Dharamsala have been thrown into disarray following the airport shutdowns triggered by Operation Sindoor. With both Dharamsala and Chandigarh airports shut until May 10, it appears increasingly unlikely that MI will be able to reach the venue as scheduled.

A BCCI official, speaking to Times of India, confirmed that the board is adopting a “wait and watch” approach. While Punjab Kings are already stationed in Dharamsala, MI were set to travel closer to the game. Now, with air connectivity severed, the team may have to either reroute via Delhi—requiring a long road journey—or await a potential venue change.

IndiGo and Air India have cancelled all flights to and from multiple northern cities including Dharamsala, Amritsar, Jammu, and Chandigarh until May 10. These precautionary measures follow India’s targeted military strikes on terror camps in Pakistan and PoK as part of Operation Sindoor.

With just days to go before the fixture, an official decision is awaited, but signs suggest a possible shift in venue due to the security and travel disruptions.
