The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) has signed Mayank Agarwal as an injury replacement for Devdutt Padikkal for the remainder of the IPL 2025.

He will be joining the side for a price of INR 1 crore. Agarwal has quite an experience in the IPL, having played 127 games, having scored 2661 runs which includes a century and 13-fifty plus scores.

Devdutt Padikkal proved to be a key batter in the RCB lineup, amassing 247 runs in 10 games at a strike rate of 150.61. Seeing him get some runs for the Bengaluru-based franchise, Padikkal was promoted to number three, where he hit two half-centuries.

Speaking of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, they are place second with 16 points in the IPL 2025 points table. They have eight wins out of 11 games and have three games remaining in the group stages.

They will play their next game against Lucknow Super Giants on May 09 at Ekana Sports Stadium, Lucknow.
