Rohit Sharma's Test retirement is similar to MS Dhoni's sudden retirement decisions. Like Dhoni's international retirement, Rohit Sharma's Test retirement post came at 7:29 PM. While Dhoni deliberately chose this time, Rohit's decision was likely coincidental.
Dhoni and Rohit played their last Test match on home soil at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Both the batters played their final Test match of their careers at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia. While Dhoni announced his Test retirement mid-series, Rohit, as mentioned above, dropped himself from the playing XI for the final Test match in Sydney.
