Delhi: Due to the increasing tension between India and Pakistan, there is a huge upheaval in the cricket world. Both the Indian Premier League (IPL) and the Pakistan Super League (PSL) had to stop the major T20 tournaments, causing an atmosphere of concern among the players, organizers and fans.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the postponement of IPL for a week at the moment. However, 16 matches are still to be played and foreign players are returning to their respective countries, making the future of the tournament uncertain.

Meanwhile, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has expressed a desire to host the remaining matches of the IPL. ECB Chief Executive Officer Richard Gold contacted BCCI and proposed to hold the remaining matches in England in September. However, a senior ECB official made it clear that no active discussion has been done so far.

This is not the first time ECB has offered such, ECB offered to host when IPL was postponed due to Kovid-19 in 2021. However, the match was then held in UAE.

Will the remaining matches of IPL be played in England? This question is now in the mind of every cricket fan. The ECB offer is a ray of hope, but the final decision is yet to come, which the BCCI has to take.
