Brevis, who joined CSK mid-season as a replacement for the injured Gurjapneet Singhtook to social media to thank the franchise’s passionate supporters for their overwhelming encouragement and warm welcome. The post came shortly after the suspension of IPL 2025 due to the escalating military tensions between India and Pakistan. With the league on hold, players have begun returning to their respective countries, bringing an unexpected pause to the season.
Brevis expressed his gratitude to the CSK team, including the coaches, support staff, and the passionate CSK fans. He described the atmosphere at Chepauk Stadium as electrifying and extended his thanks for the support he received across India. Brevis, who joined a struggling CSK side just a few weeks ago, has been a much-needed boost for their faltering batting lineup. In his debut match, the young Protea scored a quickfire 42 off just 25 deliveries, including four towering sixes. His recent half-century against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) further highlighted his batting talent and composure under pressure. So far, in four matches, he has amassed 126 runs at an impressive strike rate of nearly 164.
