R Ashwin has retired, while Ravindra Jadeja could be on his last tour to England. Axar Patel is an all-format player, and Kuldeep Yadav has not played Tests for a while now.
Hence, India must plan well for this department. Here, we take a look at the list of three uncapped spinners who could get selected in the India A squad for England.
In this regard, the India A squad will be important to understand the plans of the selectors for the future. The squad will be announced in a few days.
1) Tanush Kotian
Tanush replaced Ashwin in Australia. However, he did not get a game.
While Washington Sundar will be preferred, Tanush will also be groomed because Washi is yet to establish himself with the red ball. Importantly, Tanush can also do well with the bat, just like how he has been doing for Mumbai. Therefore, Tanush is on this list.2) R Sai Kishore could be a part of the India A squad for England
Sai has played for India in T20Is but not in Tests. Not long ago, he was leading the charts in the Ranji Trophy. There is a slight drop in form at the Ranji level, but with IPL 2025, he seems to have regained his confidence.
Therefore, Sai could get a chance. To further help his case, he must do better with the bat.3) Harsh Dubey
With 69 wickets in the recent Ranji campaign, Harsh showed superb form. With the bat, as well, he is more than handy. Considering his age and the skills that he has already shown, the selectors could allocate a spot for him on the Indian side. Ravindra Jadeja is in the last few years of his career, and since Axar Patel is getting more responsibilities in the other formats, some backup has to be there here.
