In the latest from the world of cricket, a report claimed that Gujarat Titans (GT) have resumed training for the remaining matches of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

A couple of days back, the tournament was suspended for a week due to the rising tension between India and Pakistan. A day before suspension, the 58th game of the competition between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC) in Dharamsala also couldn't be completed.

However, the tournament is now likely to resume soon and Gujarat have indicated that the situation is returning to normalcy. GT's overseas players Jos Buttler and Gerald Coetzee have returned to their respective countries, but they will join the team as needed, an official told TOI. Meanwhile, who reached Delhi through a special Vande Bharat express train on May 9, saw their head coach Ricky Ponting leaving for Australia. Punjab's South Africa pacer Marco Jansen also took a flight to Dubai but will be back to serve the side once the tournament restarts.

GT are leading the points tally in IPL 2025

Gujarat have looked sensational under Shubman Gill's captaincy as they are the table-toppers with eight wins in 11 outings. GT will now be hopeful to replicate their 2022 performance and lift the distinguished trophy for the second time. Their top-order batters Gill, Sai Sudharsan, and Jos Buttler have made major contributions in helping the team be dominating in the tournament.

Sudharsan has been the most-successful batter for Titans, notching up 509 runs with five half-centuries in 11 matches. With these numbers, he is the second-highest run-getter at the T20 event, following MI's top-order batter Suryakumar Yadav. Jos Buttler is holding the fifth spot on the list of batters with the highest run-scorers in the competition. The English player has accumulated 500 runs in 11 contests at a superb strike rate of 163.93.
