First time all 10 batters retired out in t20i: You must have often seen in Test cricket that the teams declare the innings declare before being all out. Teams use this move to win the match. But this move of Test cricket was now seen in the T20 International (T20I) match, which surprised everyone. The team retired out all the other batsmen in 16 overs without losing any wickets and then won the match.
This wonder was seen in the Women’s T20 World Cup Asia qualifier being played these days. For the first time in the match played between United Arab Emirates and Qatar, it was seen for the first time where a team declared all 10 batsmen retired before playing 20 overs. This happened exactly the same as teams in Test cricket declare their advantage.
In the match played against Qatar on Saturday (May 10), the UAE team landed on the field to bat first. The team took 192 runs on the board without losing any wickets in 16 overs and declared all 10 batsmen retired. In this way, the UAE was all out for 192/10 runs in 16 overs in the match. Then Qatar, chasing the target, was dismissed for just 29 runs in 11.1 overs and the UAE won by 163 runs.
In fact, in view of Badal, the UAE team decided to retire all the batsmen after 16 overs. The team had put a total of 192 runs on the board, which was enough for the opposing Qatar. If the UAE had played the entire over and disrupting the match due to rain, the match could have been inconclusive.
In this context, the UAE ended its innings and invited Qatar to Run Chase. UAE’s move proved to be effective for him. The team registered a big win by 163 runs. Let us tell you that this was the first time in the history of T20 International that a team finished their innings over before the completion of their innings over.
