The Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025) is all set to clash with the international calendar as it's all set to restart from May 17. The BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) announced the resumption of the T20 extravaganza on Tuesday, May 13, in the aftermath of the ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will restart the season at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. However, the second leg of the IPL will come with its own set of challenges as it's all set to clash with the international calendar.

While most of the teams will begin their international calendar or will start preparations for the same, it's the West Indies vs England series beginning from May 29, which could have a major effect on the IPL 2025. The availability of West Indian players, namely Romario Shepherd (RCB), Shamar Joseph (Lucknow Super Giants) and Sherfane Rutherford (Gujarat Titans) will be under question.

On the other hand, Jos Buttler (GT), Phil Salt (RCB), Jacob Bethell (RCB), Liam Livingstone (RCB), Will Jacks (Mumbai Indians) and Reece Topley (MI) will also leave for their international commitments.

Moreover, and South Africa from June 11 at Lord's.

The summit clash will further put doubts over the availability of players from both countries. Big names such as Mitchell Starc (Delhi Capitals), Tristan Stubbs (DC), Josh Hazlewood (RCB), Marco Jansen and Josh Inglis (both Punjab Kings), Aiden Markram (LSG), Kagiso Rabada (GT) and Ryan Rickelton (MI) will miss the crucial phase for their respective teams with the playoffs beginning from May 9.

Hence, the teams will have a herculean task of filling the gaping holes left by the star players and reworking their playing combination for the crucial phase of the tournament.
